Reiki, Mindfulness, & More
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique that promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. The term comes from two Japanese words: “Rei,” which means universal, and “ki,” which loosely translates to a lifeforce of energy. Reiki promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.
I am level 2 trained in Usui tradition Reiki. I use it as an additional tool to support the healing process. Consent will always be asked and can be done without touch.
When Reiki is used during my sessions, it is usually done in 5-15 minute increments for the following potential reasons:
Support energy movement when emotionally dysregulated
Support closure at the end of emotional session
As needed for nervous system regulation
By request for those interested
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants, flowers, herbs, or trees as a complementary health approach. The essential oils are most often used by inhaling them or by applying a diluted form to the skin.
Please let me know if there are scents you are allergic or sensitive to.
How Aromatherapy is used during my sessions:
Diffused in session to promote relaxation, energy movement and/ or chakra stimulation or deactivation
As energy clearing before, during, and after sessions
Meditation is the dedicated act of focusing attention in order to quiet mental chatter and become still despite external stress and chaos. Mindfulness involves becoming more aware of the present moment. It's something that can be practiced during meditation, but people can also incorporate these activities into the things they do every day.
How Meditations & Mindfulness is used during my sessions:
Mindfulness practices are used throughout all sessions, to increase awareness of oneself, behaviors, and exploration of inner processing
Meditation is used to support grounding, energy (emotional) movement, and/ or by request
Mindfulness and meditation are taught and encouraged to be practiced between sessions, as needed or requested
